If 2011 was the year of the signature drink …. then I can only predict that 2012 will take that trend to the next level with the custom bar and couture cocktail garnishing.

For bridal showers and brunch, treat your girls to a champagne bar complete with orange, grapefruit, cranberry and pineapple juice and a spread of fresh fruit. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, kiwi, orange slices and pineapple chunks are instant crowd pleasers. Spice up your Bloody Mary’s with a fresh veggie bar full of fixin’s. Upgrade your traditional celery stalks with the addition of pickled veggies (beans, jalapeno, onions), fresh olives of different varieties, and a slew of sauces – the hotter the better!

The next big thing? Decadent toppers and garnishing, thanks to artisanal, gourmet garnishment concepts like Vegas-based Dress the Drink, where a cocktail alone just isn’t enough. Fresh flowers and herbs, glazed chocolate, toasted coconut and banana flakes, and edible gold and silver dust make their list for enhancing the cocktail experience for you and your guests.

Cheers!

What are we loving right now?  Woodwick Candles.

Not only are these the perfect little beauties for gifting this season because of their rich, room drenching scents … but they also create a fabulous, winter-esque ambiance. Picture this: small, intimate and cozy winter wedding ceremony, surrounded by friends and family, with the fait sound of a crackling fire in the background and the woodsy scent of fresh-cut Christmas trees permeated the space. The wick of our favorite candle - Frasier Fir – is made from organic wood literally creates the sound of a glorious fire softly blazing in a fireplace.

If that’s not magical, cozy and romantic … we don’t know what is!

Happy Friday!

You’re back from your honeymoon, enjoying the first weeks of marital bliss… you’re at home nesting, decorating, creating your new life together. What’s the last thing you want to do? … Write your Thank You cards.

Here’s a tip from the pros … write them now! Don’t wait! While putting them off (and off … and off…) sounds tempting, grab your man and get them done! Writing your thank you cards will never sound fun, so you might as well bite the bullet and mark it off your “to do” list. Your guests will be appreciative.

Be sure you’ve kept notes on everything you’ve received and who it came from. “Thank you so much for the lovely gift,” simply won’t do. Personalization is heart felt and goes a long way.

Give thanks!
